Analyze the area where lights are to be installed.
Identify:
Pole locations
Illumination coverage needs
Sunlight availability (no heavy shading)
Mark installation points based on spacing and road width.
Choose the type of solar street light:
All-in-One (integrated)
Split Type (separate panel, battery, and light)
Design includes:
Wattage (e.g., 12W, 24W, 40W, etc.)
Battery size (Li-ion or LiFePO4)
Panel capacity
Pole height and material
Dig a pit (usually 1 to 1.5 meters deep).
Install foundation bolts with concrete for a strong base.
Erect the pole after concrete is set (usually after 24–48 hours).
Ensure vertical alignment using a plumb line.
Mount the solar panel and LED light on the pole.
Fix the battery box or integrated light unit securely.
Use rust-proof brackets and nuts for long life.
Connect:
Solar panel to charge controller
Controller to battery
Battery to LED lamp
Use waterproof connectors and secure wiring through the pole.
Properly insulate all joints for safety.
Verify:
Solar panel orientation (south-facing in India)
Charging voltage from the panel
Battery status and LED light timing
Simulate darkness to check automatic ON/OFF functionality via dusk-to-dawn sensor.
Handover the system after successful testing.
If using smart street lights, configure monitoring devices or apps (if applicable).
Provide maintenance instructions and warranty documents.
Solar Panel (Mono or Polycrystalline)
LED Light Fixture
Battery (Lithium or SMF)
MPPT or PWM Charge Controller
Galvanized Pole (3 to 9 meters)
